
Our Professionals
LIIDP operates with a full professional staff who are New York State licensed/certified. The professionals listed below may be a part of your child's team. Team members work together closely on all aspects of your child's development using an interdisciplinary approach. They help each other and you, the caregiver, to implement stated goals. Our professional staff includes:
Physical Therapists
Psychologists
Registered Dietitians
Social Workers
Special Education Teachers
Speech-Language Pathologists
Teachers of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (Teachers of Speech and Language Disabilities)
Teachers of the Visually Impaired
These professionals, at times, can serve a dual role as evaluators and/or service coordinators. Our staff also includes ABA (applied behavior analysis) specialists. Bilingual services are available.
Each of the service providers assigned to work with you and your child has access to the LIIDP professional administrators, with whom they can consult regarding specific programmatic and treatment concerns. Service providers may be observed in your home by one of these professional administrators. The purpose of these visit is to continuously improve the quality of our services."
